Reviews for Yazu Sushi
Review highlights
Based on 306 reviewsYazu Sushi is widely appreciated for its authentic and intimate dining experience, offering a cozy atmosphere that appeals to both casual diners and sushi enthusiasts. The restaurant’s conveyor belt system provides a unique and engaging way to enjoy a variety of traditional and creatively twisted sushi dishes, freshly prepared by skilled chefs in close view. Customers frequently highlight the quality and taste of the sushi, particularly the nigiri, while noting the need for advanced reservations due to limited seating. While some find the prices on the higher side, the overall experience is regarded as worthwhile. Minor feedback includes suggestions for slight menu adjustments, such as warming some side dishes, but the welcoming ambiance and attentive service remain standout features.
I came across this little gem while visiting a local gallery. After spending all day visiting mainstream galleries on the other side of London, this was a fabulous welcomed break. A small very authentic Japanese restraunt, intimate, quiet and friendly with a wonderful ambience. The food slowly circles on the conveyor belt allowing time to contemplate what to choose. The chef a master in his own art fires fresh fish with a flame torch just artfully skimming the fish. All food is freshly prepared, l found the experience made me feel l was back in Japan. This has wetted my appetite for when l return next week for a month. If you are in the area, it's well worth popping in.
Used a voucher here, but definitely want to come and try more. They had fairly traditional selection with a few sushi variations with their own twist. The specials menu was worth trying too! We enjoyed all the dishes that we tried. Cute and cosy little Japanese sushi house that is worth visit a visit with friends for catch up or date.
A small sushi bar in Shepherd’s Market, Mayfair. They have about 10 stools, so advanced booking is recommended. That said, most customers tend to spend less than half an hour there. Some sushi plates are already prepared and you get them from the conveyor belt. Meanwhile, a chef is preparing more right next to the bar. Quite expensive, but expected. Me and my friend shared 14 plates (2 pieces of sushi on each plate) and a bottle of sake. We paid about 55 per person.
The sushi is incredible and the experience is very humble and very warm. It’s a must stop place for me if I want to have sushi and Nigri also they offer big plates when asked I will only change the edamame as I’m not used to have it cold and extremely solid, I would steam it more and add sea salt to it, but overall great experience.
Conveyor belt type sushi near Green Park station. We were in the mood for a light dinner somewhere casual and decided to give this restaurant a go - what a hidden gem! The food was really tasty and prepared right in front of you. Just bear in mind the price could add up quickly if you're in the mood for a large meal...
Simple, fresh cut sushi, warm welcoming staff, great atmosphere. You also get to make friends with other guests! Shout out to the ambitious dad who took our pictures and didnt share his tuna sashimi with us!
The best of the best. Real quality food (sushi) Accommodating with strollers, and highly recommended dishes. I literally had 14 pieces in a row. Exquisite and lovely service.
small and intimate, there were only eight seats around the sushi train. The sushi comes in a variety of shrimp, tempura, crab, salmon, and tuna. I saw the Takeaway menu, and might try that next time as it looks like a better bang for your buck, the real star here is the staff. They are kind, polite, and fast. there’s nowhere to hide in this restaurant, so you will definitely over here everyone’s conversation. mayfair prices to be sure!
